Sickness and suffering are inextricable part of human life. Christianity believes that sickness and sufferings entered humanity as a result of sin. But God is so loving that He does not let down man suffer in his sickness and He makes use of it to reveal His glory.
Healing the sick was one of the main missions of Jesus Christ
Throughout the Gospel, Jesus is seen as a healer of all sicknesses. Healing the sick was his main mission. “He also healed all who were sick. In doing this he fulfilled what was said by prophet Isaiah: He bore our infirmities and took on himself our diseases.” (Matthew 8: 17)
