The king of Pataudi, in other words Nawab of Pataudi, passed away on Thursday and his funeral takes place on Friday, 23 September. Just before his last breath he donated his only eye as a gesture of benevolence.
Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi, one of India’s greatest legendary cricketers, passed away on Thursday after playing a desperate inning in his life battle. Pataudi, the former Indian captain, who inspired Indian cricket and led the country to its first series victory abroad, died a few hours ago at Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi where he was being treated for a lung disease. He was 70.
